Aims and Objectives

Aims & Objectives
  • To promote and encourage interaction between alumni and the college;
  • To create alumni mentoring services for students with an emphasis on provision of technical support and career advice;
  • To promote knowledge and experience sharing between alumni and students through guest lectures and seminars by alumni;
  • To enhance job and training opportunities for alumni and students;
  • To generate an alumni fund to support student projects and scholarship opportunities for students.
  • To honor alumni for outstanding accomplishment in their respective fields by recognizing them during events and meetings;
  • To provide a platform for organizing batch reunions and events.
  • To establish a comprehensive secure alumni database to facilitate personal & professional interaction among members.

1.  Guest Lectures, Seminars & Mentoring Committee

 To work with college and students to identify need and requirements

  • Identify experts, setup annual calendar for conducting workshops, seminars
  • Work with alumni and network so as to provide a list of domain experts across all industries and geography who are available in person or online for conducting webinars and mentoring services.

2.  Technical Collaboration Committee

To help the college student’s work with R&D teams of companies. This will not only help the college but will also help the industry with fresh ideas               

  • Identify experts, setup annual calendar for conducting workshops, seminars
  • Set up industry specific labs- Cloud computing Lab with IBM, Engine Design lab with Bajaj/Mahindra, Management Consulting group with McKisney etc    
  • Industry/Profession –Academic linkages, Activities related to Rolta Incubation Centre                                                             

3.  Training and Placement Committee

To support the placement cell of the institute through increased participation of public/ private sector in college placements

  • Coordinate with all HR/ senior personnel of major organizations , who are from our alumni to mobilize jobs for students
  • Help and set up vocational training with various organizations like BHEL, ITI, Intel and others
  • Identify training needs and work in collaboration with guest lectures, seminars committee
  • Help students prepare for campus interviews and selection
  • Provide a platform to students after college for seeking and offering jobs.
  • Coordinate with College TPO on training, student placement, industry and profession related student training

4.  Academic Advisory Committee

  • Pursue policies and develop programs to facilitate academic excellence.
  • Work with faculty to support outside college learning
  • Support initiatives by college to invite private or alumni participation in scientific / engineering journals/ projects/ papers
  • Help develop a panel to advise/ prepare students on careers, higher education
  • Work with technical collaboration committee, training, guest lectures and seminars committee members
  • collaborations with other universities, facilitating International university tie ups                                                                                        
  • Advise on industry relevant courses and course design                                                                          
  • Develop scholarship programs - for the benefit of merit based/ needy students selected on the basis of indentified parameters

5.  Outreach & Communications Committee

Primary agenda- reach out to all alumni across globe across all batches

  • Website, newsletter, email campaigns – all related
  • Increase membership- thrugh social media, referrals, invitations etc. Develop software programs and initiatives for database collection and usage
  • Handle queries from students and alumni groups for relevant information and FAQs
  • Take care of internal communication for events, meetings , outreach activities etc
  • Press release and coverage
  • Broadcast important events and calendars

6.  Funds Committee

Creating fund raising tools and structures and reaching out to Alumni for raising funds

  • Invite corporate donations, sponsorship for incubation programs, college festivals, alumni meetings
  • Monitor and report back progress on various initiatives undertaken for support and development to executive committee
  • Working with Executive committee on introducing and maintaining transparency of funds. Matters related to flow of funds for various activities, accounting and auditing.
