Vijnana Bharati or VIBHA is a national movement dedicated to the integrated development of Bharat through the intervention of science,engineering and technology. Launched in 1991 at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru by a few eminent scientists under the guidance of Prof. K I Vasu. The foundation principle is for the development of Swadeshi Sciences. Vijnana Bharati conducts its activities through 22 independent units functioning in various parts of the country. It is working in 11 different areas through autonomous institutions, independent organizations & also as project entities. It is a dynamic Science Movement with Swadeshi Spirit interlinking traditional and modern sciences on one hand, and natural and spiritual sciences on the other hand, adapted to national needs.Vijnana Bharati NIT Bhopal Chapter helps in integrating it’s activity in the city of Bhopal.
Swadeshi Science Movement was started in Indian Institite of Science- (Bengaluru) by a few eminent scientists under the guidance of Prof. K I Vasu. This movement gradually gained momentum and emerged as an organization with national presence. It has undertaken many initiatives one of which is TECH FOR SEVA which is a Socio-Technical conference on Inclusive and Sustainable development.This Conference intends to be a medium for the exchange of initiatives,intentions and information that will lead too an amalgamation of ideas from all major contributors – CSRs, NGOs and the Science and Technology fraternity. Thus Tech for Seva is a ray of hope to steer the power of knowledge in the direction of the much needy and deserving segment of our society.
