Final year BTech/ MTech students (who are finishing in 2022) from CFTIs belonging to the SC/ ST category are invited to visit IIT Madras from  May 10th to 12th.

The student must have a CGPA > 7.5

This is currently open to only mechanical sciences (Mech. Engg., Civil Engg. or allied departments).

IIT Madras will pay for travel and accommodation for the visiting students.

During this visit, students will be exposed to various opportunities available at IIT Madras for postgraduate education and the long-term benefits of such a pursuit. Further, they will be visiting our facilities - labs as well as other student facilities. They will also be interacting with faculty in their fields of interest to understand the research and development activity being carried out at IIT Madras. The interaction will be with the following departments at IITM: Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Civil Engineering, Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering and Ocean Engineering. 

With this, we hope to convince them to look at post-graduate education as a very good option to further their career.
