Greetings from the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), the Fulbright Commission in India!
USIEF administers the Fulbright-Nehru and other Fulbright Fellowships for Indian and U.S. citizens; provides educational advising services on U.S. higher education; and promotes linkages between institutions of higher education in the U.S. and India. Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships are jointly funded by the Government of India and the Government of U.S. For Indian citizens, we offer fellowships for teaching, research and professional development in the United States of America.
The fields of study that will be supported include;
Agricultural Sciences; Anthropology; Bioengineering; Chemistry; Computer Science (including, but not limited to, cyber security, digital economy, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data analytics); Earth Sciences; Economics; Education Policy and Planning; Energy Studies; History; Language/Literature/Linguistics; Materials Science (with emphasis on environmental applications); Mathematical Sciences; Neurosciences; Performing Arts; Physics; Political Science (including, but not limited to, International Security and Strategic Studies); Psychology; Public Health (including, but not limited to, pandemic preparedness and comprehensive surveillance (genomic surveillance, sewage surveillance, sero-surveillance)); Public Policy; Sociology; Urban and Regional Planning (with emphasis on smart cities and waste management); Visual Arts; and Women’s and Gender Studies.
As part of our outreach activities, I will be traveling to Bhopal from April 10-11, 2023, and I am writing to explore the possibility of organizing a lecture on “Fulbright Fellowship Opportunities to the U.S.” for the doctoral students, post-doctoral research students and faculty members at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal. The free in-person presentation followed by a question and answer session should take about 40 minutes.
May I suggest Monday April 10, 2023 at around 4:00 pm for the Fulbright presentation to the Ph.D. students, post doctoral researchers, and faculty at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal.
Dr. Namita Srivastava (Dept. of Math) has arranged Fulbright talks for us at MANIT in the past in her capacity as the Fulbright Campus Representative.
